Bolna is an open-source platform for building and deploying voice agents over telephony, available self-hosted or through the Bolna dashboard. This integration lets you set Smallest AI as the speech provider so your agents speak with Lightning and listen with Pulse. Because Bolna picks a provider independently per capability, you can run Smallest AI for both text-to-speech and speech-to-text, or mix it with other providers. You can configure it two ways: through the dashboard's Audio tab with no code, or directly in the Python SDK by setting the provider on the Transcriber and Synthesizer. Telephony audio encoding is handled automatically per provider, so the same agent works across Twilio, Plivo, Exotel, and web calls without manual tuning.
